馬雲退休門再起風波，在周五晚間關於馬雲是否退休媒體各執一詞後，紐約時報在美股盤後再爆馬雲將在下周一退休。阿里巴巴盤後下跌將近3%。
紐約時報稱，Alibaba’s co-founder and executive chairman, Jack Ma, said he planned to step down from the Chinese e-commerce giant on Monday to pursue philanthropy in education.Mr. Ma will remain on Alibaba’s board of directors and continue to mentor the company’s management，即馬雲計劃於“周一”辭去阿里巴巴董事局主席一職，以專註教育相關的慈善事業。馬雲將繼續留任在阿里巴巴董事會，以指導管理層。
隨後，在該報道在下文中稱，“周一”是馬雲54歲生日，而馬雲是9月10日生人，即下周一。(Mr. Ma turns54 on Monday, which is also a holiday in China known as Teacher’s Day.）
隨後彭博和福克斯等美國權威媒體迅速跟進，稱馬雲將於下周退休。阿里盤後股價也應聲下跌。
