海地昨（14）日發生規模7.2大地震，至今已至少造成304人死亡、超過1800人受傷，傷亡人數可能再攀升。雪上加霜的是，熱帶風暴可能在當地時間16日登陸，讓救援行動更為困難，居民感歎：”這個國家從沒喘息過。”
當地時間14日上午8時30分，海地發生規模7.2強震，震央位在首都太子港（Port-au-Prince）以西150公裏處，震源深度僅10公裏。海地民防局指出，至今地震已造成304人死亡、超過1800人受傷，還有許多人下落不明。

美國地質調查所（USGS）警告，許多海地居民可能麵臨山崩風險，阻礙交通。民防單位表示，山體滑坡阻礙了鄰近震央的沿岸大城萊凱（Les
Cayes）與最西端城市熱雷米（Jeremie）之間的高速公路。
雪上加霜的是，美國之音報導，美國國家颶風中心（US National Hurricane Center
NHC）預測，熱帶風暴格雷斯（Grace）可能在當地時間16日夜間至17日上午登陸海地，可能讓救援行動更為困難。
海地命運多舛，一個月前才經曆總統摩依士（Jovenel Moise）遭暗殺，當地還有饑荒、新冠肺炎問題。
海地近期才從2016年馬修颶風（Hurricane
Matthew）帶來的災難中恢複，馬修颶風造成數百人死亡、成千上萬人流離失所。
海地企業家布西科（Marc Alain
Boucicault）發布推文感歎：”這個國家從來沒有喘息過，每一年的管理不善並沒有造成傷害，但是累積的影響卻使我們容易受所有事情影響。”
海地發生強震，連鄰近的古巴及牙買加都感受到震動，所幸當地沒有傳出傷亡與災情。
814大地震甚至比2010年的地震更強、震源深度更淺，當時地震規模為7，震源深度為13公裏，美聯社指出，2010年地震預估造成約30萬人死亡。
截至當地時間14日晚間，海地已經經曆4次5級以上餘震及8次4級餘震，美國地質調查所的地球物理學家卡魯索（Paul
Caruso）警告，餘震可能持續數周、甚至數月。
