美國政治新聞網站Politico報導，兩名消息人士表示，前紐約市長民主黨籍參選人、台裔楊安澤傳下月5日出版新書“Forward:
Notes on the Future of Our
Democracy”時，同時宣布組建新政黨。不過，目前尚不清楚楊安澤創建政黨的名稱，及對於明年美國期中選舉和2024年大選有何規劃。楊安澤的團隊也沒有回應置評請求。
不過，出版商“皇冠”提到，楊安澤的新書指出美國已走向製度失靈的時代（era of institutional
failure），及政治人物已與本應服務的民眾脫節。
楊安澤曾參選過去年民主黨內總統初選，當時以每人每月發1000美元基本所得的政見打響名號，且募款能力驚人，並培養出一群死忠支持者，稱為“楊幫”。但在新罕布夏州初選後不久退選。楊安澤之後也參選過紐約市長，但也以失敗告終。
