加拿大卑詩省十五日起遭逢交通廳長口中「百年一見」的豪雨成災,洪水和土石流造成溫哥華一帶的鐵公路嚴重毀損,陸路交通癱瘓,七千人被迫撤離家園。一名婦人駕車遭土石流活埋喪命,另外至少兩人失蹤。
最大港口溫哥華港港務局表示,所有進出溫哥華港的鐵路都因洪水與土石流而暫停營運,穀物、煤炭等貨運都受到嚴重影響。加拿大太平洋鐵路和國家鐵路公司營運路線受阻。水患也導致多條高速公路關閉,包括所有通往溫哥華的主要幹道,讓溫哥華一度形同孤島。

土石流目擊者瑞尼表示,當時正在塞車,她看見有人走出車外,土石流突然爆發,人們尖叫狂奔:「這是我看過最駭人的景象。一整片山垮下來,車輛跟所有的一切都衝走,現場陷入一片慌亂」。
雨勢最嚴重時,唯一離開溫哥華的陸路必須得先入境美國,然後才能返回加拿大。然而,從美國重新回到加拿大,需要新冠肺炎快篩的陰性證明。與加拿大接壤的美國華盛頓州,也受到暴雨侵襲,十六日至少有十五萬戶停電。

卑詩省的天然氣和石油管線雖未損壞,油管業者安橋公司仍關閉部分天然氣管道,作為預防措施;每天運輸多達卅萬桶原油的跨山輸油管也暫停運作。
