蓬佩奧連發推文呼籲，「拜登總統必須全力支持裴洛西訪台，不要軟弱、屈服於北京戰爭販子和獨裁者的要求，應支持熱愛自由的台灣人民。」

而近日來不斷在推特警告美軍，甚至揚言解放軍可「擊落」裴洛西專機的胡錫進，他的推特帳號遭以違反規則為由被鎖，讓他不得不自行刪文解鎖，甚至自嘲「有什麼辦法，人在屋簷下，不得不低頭。」
