Nassar）性侵。據《美聯社》（Associated Press）今 (15)
日報導，拜爾斯出席美國參議院司法委員會聽證會時，流淚地抨擊美國體育係統及聯邦調查局（FBI）對性侵行為視而不見。
據了解，除了拜爾斯之外，美國體操名將瑪朗妮（McKayla Maroney）、雷絲曼（Aly
Raisman）等受害現役選手，以及前體操選手尼科爾斯（Maggie
Nichols）均有出席此次聽證會，指證納薩爾性侵。拜爾斯更在發言中直接抨擊了美國體育係統：「毫無疑問，造成我被長期侵犯的根本原因，是由於國會設立用來監督保護運動員的組織、美國體操委員會、美國奧林匹克和殘奧會委員會均未能履行他們的職責。」
拜爾斯哭著說道：「我責怪納薩爾，也責怪整個體育係統，聯邦調查局也難辭其咎。」美聯邦調查局局長克裏斯托弗·雷表示，他對納薩爾性侵案件的拖延以及對受害者造成的痛苦感到「深深的歉意」。

據報導，美國司法部 7 月發佈的一項內部調查報告顯示，美國體操隊早在 2015
年就首次向聯邦調查局印第安納波利斯的外地辦事處提起指控，但 FBI
在調查中犯了根本性錯誤，並沒有以「非常嚴肅的態度」處理此案。
拜爾斯是美國女子競技體操選手。曾在 2013 年到 2015
年間，連續獲得三次世界競技體操錦標賽與美國盃競技體操賽女子體操全能金牌。以及三次全美賽自由體操金牌、兩次世錦賽平衡木金牌。她同時也是
2015 年美國年度最佳女運動員。

另外，現年 58 歲的納薩爾在美國體操協會工作 30 餘年，曾經擔任 4
屆美國體操奧運代表隊與密西根州州立大學體操隊的隊醫。但在美國體操性虐待醜聞爆發期間，納薩爾的犯罪行為被曝光。他被指控至少猥褻 150
餘名未成年少年，其中還有一些知名的奧運體操運動員，包括 2000 年雪梨奧運銅牌得主丹澤雪兒（Jamie Dantzscher）和
2012 年倫敦奧運女子跳馬銀牌瑪羅妮（McKayla Maroney）等國家級選手。
但令人發指的是， 140 名出麵的受害者中，絕大部分被侵犯時都未成年，而且至少 7 名選手在受害時還是不滿 13 歲的兒童。
