Kindi)，他在采訪中表示，他帶領7名隊友下至深坑底部，但是沒有任何靈異或不舒服的感覺。

穆罕默德·肯迪在采訪中直言：“他們說麥加的滲滲泉是地球上最神聖、最純淨的水，而地獄之井的水是最邪惡的，但我們在深坑底部看到的隻是純淨的淡水，我們甚至喝了一整瓶，什麽事也沒發生！”穆罕默德·肯迪和他的隊員在深坑底部一共待了6個小時左右，並測得空氣無毒且氧氣含量正常。
The Barhout well was discovered in
Hadhramaut by an Omani team and went down to its depths. All the
legends about it were superstitious and untrue, as a waterfall was
found in it that flowed from the width of the well to its bottom.

穆罕默德補充道：“洞的底部有很多蛇，因為那裏沒有天敵，這很正常。我們還看到了許多‘洞穴珍珠’，它們是千年形成的碳酸鈣沉積物，並在緩慢水流的衝刷搬運下變得平滑且滾圓化，直到它們形成珍珠一樣美麗的模樣。”
