Beach)發生連續槍擊，人們驚慌地朝海灘逃跑，但仍然有9人受傷。
美聯社報導，警方發言人貝蒂斯基 (Deanna Bettineschi) 說，槍擊事件發生在晚上
7點前，似乎是幫派紛爭，雙方先是口角，然後爆發了鬥毆，很快就有人拔槍射擊，在一方人馬躲避子彈並逃跑時，槍手追擊並持續開槍，現已有1人被逮捕，但警方正在尋找更多嫌犯。另外，傷者9人當中，是6名成人和3名兒童。
警察局長歐布萊恩(Chris
O’Brien)說，槍擊事件發生後，數十名警察趕往現場穩定秩序。“這是個不幸的晚上，本來是一群守法公民來到我們的海灘，卻被一群罪犯打斷了平靜的夜。”
目擊者之一的史考特(Alvie Carlton Scott
III)說，當時他在海灘散步，突然聽到連續的槍聲，趕緊躲到一棵樹後麵，雖然不知道有沒有幫助。之後是在警察的引導下，逃離了該地區。
另一位目擊者沃德(amie
Ward)看到的更多，他說：“幾個年輕人先是正在商店前起衝突，其中一個人拔出槍來，開始朝對方射擊。”
好萊塢市長李維(Josh
Levy)在一份聲明中說：“感謝好心人、醫護人員、警察和急診室的醫生和護士，他們幫助今天槍擊案的受害者。”
