據美國廣播公司3月1日報道，當天美國一架精神航空公司的航班在飛往佛羅裏達州途中突發火災，緊急降落在傑克遜維爾，10名旅客被送往醫院。
救援人員稱，火災由機艙內的鋰離子電池著火引起。乘務人員及時發現並將電池放入水中，且得到了機上一名退休消防員的幫助，這才避免災難發生。
據悉，飛機降落時，駕駛艙內仍有煙霧。著陸後不久，越來越多的機組人員和乘客出現不適症狀。最終，共有10人被送往醫院接受檢查。
